# Logging In

How to sign in to the 4Rooms PMS and what to do if you cannot access your account.

## Signing in

1. Open the 4Rooms PMS in your browser. Your hotel's address looks like `https://yourhotel.4rooms.example`.
2. Enter your **username** and **password**. Both were given to you by your manager or the 4Rooms team.
3. Click **Sign in**. You land on the dashboard for your role.

## If you cannot sign in

After five wrong attempts your account is locked for 15 minutes as a security measure. Wait and try again — the timer resets automatically.

> **Warning:** Never share your password with a colleague. Every action in the PMS is recorded against the signed-in user.

## Signing out

Always sign out at the end of your shift using the menu in the top-right corner, especially on shared front-desk computers. You are signed out automatically after 45 minutes without activity.
